On July 17, 2015, The 4th APRC Board Meeting was held in APRC office in Shanghai. Captain Song the chairman of APRC Board presided over the meeting. IMRF former chairman Michael Vlasto, Board member/Director General of CRS of the Ministry of Transport Mr Zhenliang Wang, Board member/Director General of Donghai Rescue Bureau Mr Dingliang Lu attended the meeting.
The general secretary of IMRF Mr Bruce Reid also attended the meeting through video, the other attendees including IMRF's new trustee, the acting director of APRC Mr Rongjun Zhang and the relevant staff of APRC. The meeting reviewed the completion of main work of the first half year of 2015 and the usage of funds, and arranged the work plan for the second half year of 2015.
The Board has discussed the work summary and gave a high prestige of development achievements of membership, fundraising, Shanghai international yacht safety and rescue forum, the work of WMRC in German and the creation of three rescue guides in APRC.
The Board gave the comment for the work plan in the second half of 2015 and discussed related issues for two large-scale MRO seminars in Singapore in August 2015 and in Philippines in September.
APRC is making its efforts to promote international exchanges and cooperation with regional maritime search and rescue organizations. Maritime search and rescue training course in 2015 would be held in China. APRC plans to pay a visit for related countries in Asia-Pacific Region to seek the necessary support. After the meeting, the attendees also visited the cultural exhibition in Donghai Rescue Bureau.
In the afternoon, Mr Zhenliang Wang and Michael Vlasto accompanied by Mr Yuehua Xiao the secretary of and deputy director general of the Rongjun Zhang visited Donghai No. 1 Rescue Flying Service.
The secretary of Rescue Flying Service Mr Zhiwei Xu, vice director Mr Changhe Shao extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. After the introduction of the general situation and the future development of Rescue Flying Service, everyone came to the hangar to visit the newly introduced medium-sized rescue helicopters S76D, and communicate with watchers at the control tower.
