The Bulgarian maritime SAR volunteers’ organization BULSAR invites you to a conference entitled “Automated Systems for Maritime Search and Rescue”, which is to be held on 16 & 17 June 2016 in Varna, Bulgaria.

The conference will be held alongside another: “Integrated informational systems in support of coastal zone management”, organized by the “N.Vaptzarov” Naval Academy, Varna.

IMG 0648smallThe two events are being organized in the context of the serious interest of Black Sea countries in the problems of protection of human life at sea and environmental preservation of the Black Sea waters, and will demonstrate a confirmation of the participants’ humanitarian goals.

An important feature of the forum organized by BULSAR is the presentation of specialized software for maritime and aeronautical SAR, developed by NIKOOSAR, complete with training on its usage.

The event will also see the official opening of a specialized center for maritime crises management, to which the BULSAR training center will be annexed.

“We are expecting interest in the conference by national SAR and environment protection organizations from all the Black Sea countries,” says Nick, “As well as European maritime SAR and environmental protection organizations, including IMRF members. You are very welcome to join us in Varna in June.”

BULSAR is the only volunteers’ maritime structure in the Black sea region for the last twenty years, thanks to the enthusiasm of its members and sympathizers. They carry out rescue operations and have the responsibility for their own coast and in the worldwide ocean.
