On 31st March 2016 a new large cruising rescue ship, Dong Hai Jiu 102, built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited, was delivered to IMRF member China Rescue and Salvage (CRS). This is CRS’s first 12000kw rescue ship, and it will be added to the rescue ship fleet in the East China Sea area.

Compared to the previous 8000KW purpose-built rescue ships, the 12000kw Dong Hai Jiu 102 has enhanced rescue operational and maritime supervision abilities, with integrated command, information collection and processing systems, and greater firefighting, oil spill recovery, salvage and towing capabilities. It will further optimize the professional rescue equipment structure of CRS, and will enhance maritime lifesaving and comprehensive emergency support in the East China Sea.
